I'm a huge comic and graphic novel fan. For my latest feature Head Trauma I was fortunate to have S.R. Bissette of Swamp Thing and Constantine fame ink a comic that used in the film. And the site http://headtraumamovie.com is an interactive comic with things hidden under the surface.
